The first anniversary of the Department of Banking of Dhaka University (DU) was observed Thursday at the Teacher-Student Centre (TSC).
Organised by the department the anniversary meeting was addressed by DU Vice-Chancellor S.M.A Faiz, Pro-Vice Chancellor Yusuf Haider Chowdhury, Banking Department founding chairman Professor A.R Khan, Professor Muzahidul Islam, former Bangladesh Bank governor Lutfar Rahman Sarker, former American Chamber of Commerce president Aftabul Islam and National Bank Managing Director Aminuzzaman.
Since the inception of Banking Department the teachers are committed and determined to impart quality education suitable for practical future life of the students, said Faiz.
Lutfar Rahman Sarker underscored the need for patience, knowledge and trustworthiness in choosing banking sector in professional life.
