Last year's runners-up City Club take on newcomers Sonargaon Cricketers in the sixth round of the Premier Division Cricket League at Fatullah Cricket Stadium today (Tuesday), reports BDNEWS.
Title aspirant City Club returned to the winning run after ending the winning spree of league leaders Victoria Sporting Club in just previous round match and they expressed they firm determination to continue their winning run.
But, big-spending Sonargaon Cricketers, who are yet to win against big guns, were again derailed with conceding a nail-biting two-run defeat to Bangladesh Biman and they are desperately looking forward for a victory.
The Bogra spectators will see big-match at their home ground when title aspirants Brothers Union face glorious-past Abahani Limited at the Shaheed Chandhu Stadium.
However, other giants face the minnows opponent as defending champions and league leaders Old DOHS play against Agrani Bank at Dhanmondi Cricket Stadium while title contenders Mohammedan Sporting Club take on Indira Road KC at the BKSP-2 ground.
Biman Bangladesh Airline play against pointless Orient Club at the BKSP-1 ground while Victoria SC face Kalabagan KC at Comilla Stadium.
Old DOHS lead the table with maximum 10 points, followed jointly by the Mohammedans and Victoria, who collected eight points each.
City Club, Brothers Union, Biman Bangladesh Airlines and Abahani Limited shared the third-position with six points while Kalabagan KC, Agrani Bank CC and Indira Road KC secured two points each. Orient Sports Club remained pointless.
