Disabled Institute to be established at Mirpur

          Bangladesh Disabled Institute would be set up at Mirpur in the city at a cost of over Tk 45 million under the Ministry of Social Welfare, reports BSS.
This was disclosed at a review meeting on annual development programmes held in the conference room of the Ministry of Social Welfare, an official handout said.
Social Welfare Minister Ali Ahsan M Mujahid presided over the meeting.
Social Welfare Secretary Kazi Manwarul Haque, Director General of Department of Social Welfare Hafizul Islam Mia, Managing Director of National Disabled Development Foundation M Didarul Anwar, directors of projects and high officials of the concerned departments were present at the meeting.
The minister informed the meeting that a project for establishing the institute is under consideration of the Planning Commission.
