Janakantha clinch Media Cup soccer title

          Janakantha clinched the title of the Fourth Media Meril Cup Football beating Sangbad by 2-1 goals at the Bangabandhu National Stadium Monday, reports UNB.
Bangladesh Olympic Association (BOA) Secretary General Kutubuddin Ahmed, BFF General Secretary Anwarul Haq Helal and BSJA President Monjurul Haq watched the day's final and distribute the prizes.
In the day's match, the winners led the first half 1-0.
Janakantha took lead in the first half, by virtue of an own goal by Shamim of Sangbad (1-0) while Asif Iqbal, who was adjudged man of the match, doubled the winners' margin in the second half (2-0). Swapan of Sangbad pulled one back at the dying moment of the match (2-1).
