Holders Rajshahi maintain winning run

          Holders Rajshahi Division maintained their all-win run in the 5th round of the Ispahani Mirzapore Tea 7th National Cricket League beating Dhaka Division by five wickets in a one-day match at the Rajshahi Divisional Stadium Wednesday, reports UNB.
With this win, Rajshahi Division secured 10 points to dominate the league table while Dhaka Division, who tasted first defeat on the day, remained at eight points, both playing five matches.
Batting first after winning the toss, Dhaka Division scored 188 runs for all in 45.1 overs in the face of hostile bowling by Farhad Hossain, who claimed four wickets for 22 runs.
Opener Uttam Sarkar contributed 57 runs off 72 balls with five fours and a six, two down batsman Mahmudullah scored 49 runs off 84 balls with three fours while Sazzad Ahmed made 27, Al-Shahriar 8 and Mohammad Sharif 8.
Apart from Farhad's four wickets, Md Shahajada and Mushfiqur Rahman captured two wickets each for 33 and 42 runs respectively.
In reply, Rajshahi Division cantered to their target of 189 runs in 42.5 for the loss of five wickets.
Zaharul Islam contributed match highest 71 runs off 93 balls with 14 boundaries while Nayeem Islam scored unbeaten 29 runs off 45 balls with three fours and two sixes.
Farhad Hossain, who earlier took four wickets, also showed his batting ability adding 28 runs off 64 balls with a four while Junaed Siddique (24) and Hasanuzzaman (8) were the other notable contributors for Rajshahi Division.
Ashraful Haque took two wickets for 45 runs.
