10 killed in separate incidents

          Ten persons were killed and many others injured in separate incidents in different parts of the country, report agencies.
In Chittagong, armed robbers shot dead a man and injured two others at Dhalghat village in Patia Upazila Sunday. The deceased was identified as Abul Kashem.
In Sherpur, a schoolteacher was killed in a road accident at Maitapara in Jhenaigati Upazila on the Sherpur-Jenaigati Road Friday night.
In Gazipur, an alleged dacoit was beaten to death by an angry mob at Soyil Dubi village in Sadar Upazila Sunday. The dead, aged about 40, could not be identified.
In Sylhet, a newly wed young man allegedly committed suicide at his in-law's house at Sengram in Bianibazar Upazila Saturday afternoon.
The police said Abdul Hannan, son of late Hossain Ali of Mikirpara in Kanaighat Upazila married co-villager Sajna Begum on August 1.
A septuagenarian man was killed by his co-villagers at Alampur village in Chhatak Upazila of Sunamganj Saturday morning.
In Jhalakati, Anne (5), daughter of Mansur Khalifa, and Imon (7), son of Panna Khalifa, drowned in a pond at Timirkati village in Nalciti Upazila at noon.
In Laxmipur, Ria (4), daughter of Nizamuddin, drowned in a pond at Bamoni village in Raipur Upazila Saturday noon.
In Jhenidah, body of a newborn male child was recovered Thursday from a drain at Chuadanga bus stand in the town here.
In another incident a teenage girl allegedly committed suicide by taking poison at village Kamarpara in Shailakupa Upazila Thursday.
In yet another incident two minor babies received serious burn injuries at a village in Sadar Upazila here Thursday.
In Bagerhat, body of an adolescent boy was recovered from a canal near the Sundarbans in Sharankhola Upazila Friday evening.
