Four state-owned banks disburse Tk 1.09b agri loans in Comilla

          COMILLA, Aug 4 (UNB): Four state-owned banks disbursed Tk 1.09 billion (109.03 crore) agricultural loans in 16 upazilas of the district in the fiscal 2005-06.
Official sources said the loan distribution target was fixed at Tk 1.29 billion (129.68 crore) in the fiscal while the disbursement rate was 84 per cent.
The sources said Bangladesh Krishi Bank (BKB) disbursed Tk 847 million (84.70 crore) against the target of Tk 952 million (95.20 crore) in the fiscal while Sonali Bank disbursed Tk 69.6 million (6.96 crore), Janata Bank Tk 144.6 million (14.46 crore) and Agrani Bank Tk 29 million (2.90 crore).
The banks also realised Tk 905.5 million (90.55 crore) during the period, sources of District Agriculture loan monitoring committee said. Of the total amount BKB realised Tk 639.3 million (63.93 crore).
