Maric scores hat trick as Urawa thrash Kashiwa
10/16/2005

TOKYO, Oct 15 (AFP): Croat striker Tomislav Maric scored a hat trick in the space of just nine minutes to lead the Urawa Red Diamonds to a 7-0 thrashing of Kashiwa Reysol in J-League football Saturday.
After Brazilian-born Robson Ponte opened the scoring in the 23rd minute and Tatsuya Tanaka made it 2-0 in the 49th, Maric started a goal avalanche in the 54th, 57th and 63rd minutes to turn the game into a blowout.
Maric's hat trick was helped by Kashiwa's two red cards as Tomokazu Myojin and Yasuhiro Hato were sent off in the 13th and 56th minutes.
Tomoyuki Sakai and Takuya Yokoyama added insurance goals in the 67th and 89th minutes.
