The BFF boss said, "We have already organised two school football tournaments in Dhaka city as pilot project. Now, we want to spread the school football tournament at the grass-root level across the country from the next year as per our promise."
He added the federation would also think how to spread the school football championship in a greater manner.
Shakib Lohani said, "We have proceeded by evaluating this interest of BFF in development of football in the grass-root level and the national school football championship has been arranged countryside for the first time."

The Aktivision brought two youngsters of the Dhaka Metropolis School football tournament -- highest scorer Rubel Mridha and man of the tournament Shahed -- at the press conference and introduced them to the newsmen.
Shakib said he would try to arrange the individual sponsor for talented footballers, who will come out from the upcoming tournament, as they could carry on their playing and better future.
Anwarul Haq Helal said 130 schools, split into 16 venues across the country, will take part in the preliminary round phase and later 16 venue champions will play the final round.
Helal said champions and runners-up of district inter-school football tournament from 64 districts and champions and runners-up of Dhaka Metropolis School football tournament will take part in the first round.
The district sports associations will organise school level tournament in association with the education board and district sports officers.
