On the occasion of this year's Armed Forces Day, President Iajuddin placed wreaths at 8:00am at the Shikha Anirban in Dhaka Cantonment.
He was followed by Prime Minister, who is also in charge of Defence Ministry, placing the wreath at about 8:20am.
During the solemn ceremony, a smartly turned contingent of the armed forces presented guard of honour for the valiant freedom fighters from defence forces.

The day's programme begun with special munajt after Fazar prayers seeking divine blessings for the wellbeing and prosperity of the nation and development and progress of the armed forces.
Army Chief Lieutenant General Moeen U Ahmed, Naval Chief Rear Admiral M Hasan Ali Khan and
