Australia wheat crop f'cast upped to 24.5m tonnes
11/9/2005

SYDNEY, Nov 8 (Reuters): Private group Australian Wheat Forecasters today increased its forecast for Australia's new wheat crop to 24.52 million tonnes because of better than average rainfall across the country, which has improved yield prospects.
The new estimate is 19 per cent higher than the 20.61 million tonnes produced last season and not far behind Australia's record wheat crop of 26.1 million tonnes in 2003/04.
