UNDP Representative present letter of credence to Morshed

          Newly appointed UN Resident Coordinator and UNDP Resident Represen-tative to Bangladesh Renata Dessallien presented her Letter of Credence to Foreign Minister M Morshed Khan at his office Thursday, reports UNB.
The Foreign Minister warmly welcomed the UNDP envoy and lauded the role of UNDP in capacity building and sustainable development of the country. "UNDP is a willing and important development partner of Bangladesh," he said.
The Minister also expressed the hope that the role of UNDP will be reactivated towards further development of Bangladesh and its support will continue. Bangladesh is a land of enormous potentials, he said.
The UNDP Resident representative exchanged views on her organisation's activities in the country, including development programmes by development partners in the Chittagong Hill Tracts (CHT).
She expressed her appreciation of the multi-cultural, multi-ethnic society of the country.
