Guerrilla shot dead in central Nepal
12/25/2005

KATHMANDU, Dec. 24 (Xinhua): Nepali security persons at a check post in central Nepal shot one guerrilla to death Saturday morning, the Royal Nepalese Army said.
The guerrilla was shot by the security persons at the bus park in Tulsipur of Dhading district, some 70 km west of Kathmandu, the army said in a statement.
A student identity card of Butwal Campus was discovered from the guerrilla. Three other ID cards with same photo but different names were also discovered from him.
According to the army, four people had entered the checkpoint while a security check was going on and fled when security forces tried to check their bags. One guerrilla was shot while trying to flee.
Over 12,000 Nepalese people have been killed since the anti- government insurgency took place in the Himalayan kingdom in February 1996.
