Punitive action against PSI co demanded
FE Report
12/29/2005

Bangladesh Rexin Plastic Manufacturers Association (BRPMA) alleged that a pre-shipment inspection (PSI) company was issuing clean report of findings (CRF) certificate to clear some imported items violating the rules of the National Board of Revenue (NBR).
It alleged that Cotecna Inspection SA issued CRF certificate for PVC plastic sheet (plain and printed) at a rate of US$550 per tonne although the rate of the same product was US$1660 in 2004.
They demanded of the government to investigate the incident and take punitive steps against the company for violating the rules.
