Rana hits league's sixth ton
Khulna on way to making a big score

          National all-rounder Manjarul Islam Rana hit Ispahani Mirzapore Tea Seventh National Cricket League's sixth ton in the four-dayer fixture as the hosts Khulna crossed three hundred runs against Barisal at Khulna Divisional Stadium Sunday.
Khulna scored 305 for eight at stump at the end of Day-1 of the third-round four-dayer, reports BDNEWS.
Three fifties from Masumuddowla, Nazimuddin and Faisal Hossain Dickens helped the visitors Chittagong grip Dhaka firmly with a 334 for six at stump at the Dhanmondi Cricket Stadium.
Away at Shaheed Chandu Stadium in Bogra, Rajshahi scored 236 for eight with Musfiqur Rahman and Alamgir Kabir remained unbeaten when the bails were drawn for the day-1.
Khulna vs Barisal
After beating Chittagong with almost two days to spare in the second round four-dayer fixture, Khulna is on the driving seat against pointless Barisal in home ground.
Except Rana's century, Sagir Hossain and national spinner Abdur Razzak shined with bat putting half-centuries.
Opted to bat first, Habibul Bashar charged Khulna fell into trouble after losing three wickets including Bashar's wicket for 28, and Tushar Imran and Rana repaired the early setback adding 70 runs for the third wicket stand.
Thereafter Khulna faced two immediate jolts losing Tushar (34) and Hasanuzzaman (1) in between two runs with scoreboard showing 99 for five.
Rana paired with Sagir contributed a significant 106 for the sixth wicket stand before Sagir (56 off 88) was trapped lbw by Arafat and Rana again added another 85 runs with number eight Razzak.
Marshal removed Rana, who scored 108 off 224 balls featuring 11 fours and two sixes while Razzak, who was caught behind off Sajid, scored 56 off 95 balls with six fours and a six.
Sajid and Marshal took two wickets each for 39 and 52 respectively.
Dhaka Vs Chitagong
After a brave fighting against the hosts Dhaka in the one-dayer fixture just day before, the visitors Chittagong continued their speed as three Chittagonion batsmen put half fifties after opting to bat first.
Despite losing opener Nafis Iqbal (6), Chittagong started decently putting on 103 runs for the second wicket stand between Masumuddula and Gazi Salahuddin before being separated.
Salahuddin (47 off 73) was removed by champion spinner Mohammad Rafique and Masumuddula (73 off 181) paired with Nazimuddin added another 38 before being trapped leg before by Rafique. Masumuddula hit nine fours and one six while Salahuddin hammed eight fours and a six.
Dhaka again hit on Chittagong sending back two batsmen on 153 and Nazimuddin along with Faisal Hossain Dickens contributed a blistering 126 runs for the fifth wickets stand.
Nazim scored 86 off 151 balls with 13 fours while Dickens, who scored unbeaten 62 in one-dayer against the same rival, remained unbeaten on 77 off 153 balls with seven boundaries and one over boundary.
Rafique grabbed three wickets for 59 while Anwar Hossain Monir, Mosharaf Hossain Rubel and M Sharif took one wicket each.
Rajshahi vs Sylhet
Winning the toss, Rajshahi scored a moderate total of 238 for eight with Mushfiqur Rahman (15) and pacer Alamgir Kabir (18) remain on the crease at stump.
Naeem Islam topscored with 58 off 108 balls with nine fours, followed by opener Farhad Hossain's 48. Farhad hit five fours in his 142-ball innings.
Hasibul Hossain and Enamul Haq Jr grabbed three wickets each for 40 and 53 respectively while Nazmul Hossain took two wickets for 53.
