Six national booters of Mohammedan SC, who took leave from the national camp to play a friendly match against a Thai Club, joined the practice session with other teammates at the Bangabandhu National Stadium (BNS) Sunday, reports UNB. Earlier, on February 8, six players -- Biplob Battacharya, Matiur Munna, Alfaj Ahmed, Arman Aziz, Kazi Nazrul and Asadur Rahman Asad -- left here for Bangkok along with the Mohammedan SC team. The defending champions of the national league suffered a humiliating 0-4 defeat against Thai Club Bek Tero Sasna FC Thursday in Bangkok. Mohammedan SC, which was earlier scheduled to return Friday, arrived in the city Saturday night due to flight delay. The 22-member Bangladesh team, which is undergoing training for the qualifying round matches of the AFC Asian Cup Football Championship, played the first practice match at BNS Sunday afternoon divided into two sides.
