Eight die in separate incidents in two days

          Eight persons were killed and many injured in separate incidents in different places of the country during the last two days, report agencies.
In Bagerhat, a man was killed and three members of his family injured critically as his private car crashed on the Khulna-Mongla Highway at Bhattey in Mongla Upazila Saturday.
In Noakhali, a newly wed housewife was strangled to death allegedly by her husband for dowry at Naba village in Sonaimuri Upazila Friday night.
In Laxmipur, a middle aged man, who was injured in a road accident here Friday, died at Sadar hospital Saturday morning.
In Satkhira, one housewife committed suicide by taking poison at Maskhola village under Sadar Upazila of the district
In Bhola, an under-trial prisoner of the district jail died at the Sadar Hospital Saturday.
The police said Hafez Mia, accused of a murder case, had been suffering from asthma since long. In the morning, he suddenly fell ill and was rushed to the Sadar Hospital where he died.
In Sirajganj, body of an unidentified woman was recovered from Kalinjar char in Rayganj Upazila Saturday.
In Jamalpur, police recovered the body of an unidentified teenaged girl from the bank of Brahmaputra River in Sadar Upazila adjacent to the Mymensingh-Jamalpur road.
In Meherpur, body of a top terror was found at a beel (water body) in Gangni Upazila Saturday night. The slain terrorist was identified as Hafizur Rahman Hafi of Ruerkandi village of the upazila.
In Gazipur, five village police were stabbed grievously by a man who is an accused in a number of cases when they went to arrest him at village Jahangirpur in Sreepur Upazila Friday
