Uganda church collapse kills 26
3/10/2006

At least 26 people have been killed after a church roof collapsed during a service in Uganda's capital, Kampala, police have said, reports BBC.
At least 86 others were injured in the accident in the northern Kalerwe district that occurred during heavy rains, they said.
It remains unclear how many worshippers were present at the service.
A rescue operation is under way for survivors who could still be trapped under the rubble.
The accident occurred at about 1900 local time (1600 GMT), police said.
"We were in the church for the service and it was raining very heavily," said worshipper Nsubuga Hannington, who suffered a head injury.
