A four-day Bangladesh single country trade fair is going to be held in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA), from May 25 to 28. Bangladesh business community (BBC) in KSA is organising the fair. Embassy of Bangladesh in Riyadh has already taken initiative to make the fair a successful. They have written letters to Bangladesh Export Promotion Bureau (EPB), Ministry of Commerce, and different trade forums informing the potentiality of Bangladeshi products in KSA. BBC already formed a three-member committee for its Bangladesh Chapter headed by Enayet Karim as Coordinator, Kazi Mansur-ul-Haq as joint Coordinator and Muhammad Ali Jinnah as member secretary. The main target of the fair is to tap the huge potential of export market in KSA and to control remittance. Now-a-days a total of 2.5 million Bangladeshis are working in KSA but there are very few means to send money to the near and dear ones of the Bangladeshi repatriates in KSA. The fair will be followed by a couple of seminars highlighting investment opportunities, incentives and business potentiality of Bangladesh for guiding the KSA investors and importers. A good number of organisations including some commercial banks, financial institutions, insurance companies, ready-made garment manufacturers, leather goods manufacturers, already have so far shown keen interest in participating in the fair. Commerce Ministry also held a meeting last week at the ministry, which was presided by Commerce Minister Altaf Hossain Chowdhury. EPB Vice Chairman Mir Shahabuddin Mohammed, Bangladesh Business Community (BBC) in KSA President Mohammed Sharif Hossain, BBC-Bangladsh chapter President Enayet Karim, Vice President Kazi Mansur-Ul-Haq, fair Member Secretary Sheikh Mohammad Ali Jinnah had attended the meeting.
