Opposition calls for hartal April 20
4/14/2006

The Awami League (AL)-led 14-party opposition combine called a countrywide dawn-to-dusk hartal for April 20 to protest the killing of "innocent" people at Kansat in Chapainawabganj, where anarchy continued to reign supreme, reports UNB.
AL acting General Secretary Obaidul Kader declared the hartal from a rally held in protest against the Kansat killings in front of the martyred intellectuals' graveyard at Mirpur in the city.
Party leader Kamal Ahmed Majumder presided over the rally.
