Dhaka, Navy book final berths

          Dhaka and Bangladesh Navy booked their final berths of the Jubok-Phone National Football Championship emerging zonal champions in the respective zone at different venues Friday, reports BDNEWS.
Dhaka became champions in the Padma zone with a massive 8-1 win over Rajbari at Pirojpur Stadium.
Sajjad Hossain Babu and Moloy struck two goals each while Angur, Polo, Mahmudul Hasan and Shahjahan scored one each for the champions. Dilip Kumar scored the consolation goal for the losers.
Bangladesh Navy outplayed Bangladesh Police 3-1 to emerge champions in the services zone at Dhaka Army Stadium Friday.
Kamaluddin struck twice while Jahangir Alam scored one for the champions. Osim netted the lone goal for the losers.
At the same group match, Bangladesh Army registered a massive 6-0 win over Bangladesh Air Force with Tutul making a hattrick. Besides three goals from Tutul, Jafar, Shaheen, Ashis scored one goal each for the winners.
Khulna, Gazipur and Molvibazar reached the zonal final beating respective rivals at different venues.
Khulna beat Bagherhat by a solitary goal with Pranotosh scoring the all-important goal at Pirojpur Stadium while Gazipur blanked Netrokona by 3-0 with Manju, Golap and Narayan scoring one goal each at Tangail Stadium.
Molvibazar registered a 4-3 victory over Netrokona in tiebreaker after the regulation time ended in a goalless draw at Hobiganj Stadium.
Rangpur, Bandarban and Rajshahi moved into the zonal semifinals beating respective rivals at the different venues.
Two hattricks from Opel and Apel helped Rangpur to register a massive 8-0 win over Panchagarh at Gaibandha Stadium. Opel scored four goals, including hattrick, Apel scored three and Lipon netted one goal for the winners.
At Bandarban Stadium, Mamun made a hattrick as the hosts outplayed Khaghrachari by 7-0 with Mamun scoring a hattrick. Apart from Mamun goals, Saidur Rahman, Owan Chin, Anwar and Shamim netted one goal each.
