3 rising terrors given mass thrashing
10/14/2005

KUSHTIA, Oct 13 (UNB): Three rising terrorists held by locals at Milpara in the town have been handed over to RAB after a mass beating.
They are Rajib, Shagar and Asha - all aged around 20 and hailed from the same area.
Police and locals said five or six terrorists led by Rajib demanded Tk 5,000 toll from Abdus Sattar of Charmilpara at Wednesday noon. On refusal to comply with their demand, they abducted his 19-year old son Hasmat Ali at gunpoint. Immediately, he announced over the mike of nearby mosque about the terrorist attack.
Police said Rajib and his associates formed a gang that engaged in extortion, abduction, drug trade and anti-social activities under the political patronages.
