Pirelli aims to grab Chinese tyre market
10/14/2005

MILAN, Oct 12 (AFP): Italian tyre company Pirelli said Wednesday that it hoped to have three per cent of the Chinese market for radial tyres for trucks by the end of 2006 after the launch of a joint venture factory in the eastern Shandong province of the country.
Pirelli said its plant, jointly owned with Chinese partner Roadone Tyre, had started production and would begin supplying to Chinese, southeast Asian and Australian markets.
