FE Report
10/14/2005

Ganex Bangladesh (Private) Limited (GBL) has pledged to continue its contribution to the country's economic development and create employment opportunities through marketing of its mushroom products.
GBL executives expressed this at the Meet the Press Session on 'Together We Conquer' organised by the company at its Gulshan head office in the city Wednesday.
Chaired by Ganex International Business Manager Kumar, the meeting was addressed, among others, by Business Development Adviser and Leader-Crown Diamond Director Rohani, Leader-Crown Diamond Director Sarware Alam, Chief Health Consultant Shofiqur Rahman, Ganex Mirpur Service Centre In-charge GM Rabbani and Stockist and Diamond Director Shawkat Hossain.
GBL Company Secretary-cum Admin Annie conducted the function.
In his speech, Kumar disclosed the ten-year future plan of the company as its next motto that would bring a meaningful contribution to the economic development in Bangladesh.
The motto of the company is to provide healthcare service as well as creation of employment opportunities in the country, the GBL international business manager said.
Narrating the company's history, Ganex Business Development Adviser Rohani said Ganex started its business in the country on July, 2003 and from the very beginning it has played a generous role towards the people of Bangladesh and its economic development.
The only motto of the company is "Quality is first" and Ganex has always strived to ensure quality in its products for the consumers, Rohani said.
Leadership is very important in multi-level marketing (MLM) and the company has always tried to produce good business leaders through proper training for executing excellent marketing policy, she said.
By means of a proper marketing system, Ganex wants to reach the people of the country and also create jobs through marketing of its mushroom products in all 64 district of the country, she added.
The GBL business development adviser said she believes Ganex will become the leading MLM company in Bangladesh.
The Malaysia-based company is doing its business in 22 countries of the world including Bangladesh, Rohani pointed out.
Among their products, red mushroom or Ganoderma Lucidum is an excellent food item and includes medicinal properties. The other mushrooms they sell are purely used as vegetable, the GBL executives said.
Mushroom specialist and Gano Excel Enterprise SDN BHD Vice President Leow Soon Seng started his research on Ganoderma in 1983. His research has yielded a good number of vegetables and medicinal items.
Malaysia started marketing mushroom products in 1995. The business has now spread to Canada, the United States, Australia, Indonesia, Singapore, India, and Myanmar among others.
The Gano Excel produces food supplements series like -- Ganoderma, Excellium, Sakanno and Gano Garcinia, which are being marketed as Nutraceuticals. These are all extremely nutritious.
The Personal Care series are gano soap and gano fresh.
