All NTMC members quit BFF
10/23/2005

All the five members of high-powered National Team Management Committee (NTMC) of Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) quitted the national federation protesting some decision of the federation chief, reports BDNEWS.
The two remaining members NTMC member secretary for former JCD leader Syeed Hasan Kanon and Abdus Salam Morshedy followed the resigned members Quazi Salahuddin, Imtiaz Sultan Johny and Golam Rabbani Helal. All of them were reputed national footballers.
The NTMC was headed by BFF Vice-president and country's legendary footballer Kazi Salauddin, who resigned from the Federation Thursday. Imtiaz Sultan Johny and Golam Rabbani Helal followed him immediately the same day.
As all the members of the committee resigned in principle on some particular issue-particularly on intervention of the committee decision, the BFF president said that the committee's function would be dealt by the executive committee itself at this moment.
Salahuddin, who was persuaded by BFF President SA Sultan to be involved with federation after a long gap, relinquished all of his responsibilities as vice-president and chairman of National Team Management Committee (NTMC) from now on. He submitted his resignation letter to the president and general secretary.
BFF president said Saturday, "Salauddin was not involved with BFF. I brought him to the BFF in the greater interest of country's football. So we don't want to loose him and we will try our level best to bring him back to the federation."
In his resignation letter the outstanding footballer of the past said that the BFF high officials have implemented their own programme ignoring the NTMC's decisions and so NTMC carries no value to the federation.
So, I resigned from both the posts of BFF, he said in his statement.
The NTMC was providing the remuneration of the Argentine coach, Andres Cruciani and the trainer, Ariel Coleman, of the national team. The total money is about $ 6000.
These resignations generated problems on source of money with the federation.
About the money BFF General Secretary Anwarul Haque Helal said, "If they will not provide the money, we have to manage the money from the other sources. If the problem would raise, we will take the decision after discussing in the meeting."
Anwarul Haque Helal said, "We will call an emergency committee meeting shortly to discuss about the tongue-tied situation."
The problem was raised Tuesday's executive meeting of BFF when a few BFF members opposed the name of NTMC member-secretary Sayeed Hasan Kannon as national team manager.
They proposed Amirul Islam Babu, who had bad reputations on and off the field, as team manager and the EC meeting got jolted. Later, the meeting relinquish the responsibilities to BFF president to select the manager for national team.
But, Salauddin had threatened that he would resign if the proposal of NTMC would not be followed.
The BFF President SA Sultan Wednesday announced Sayeed Hasan Kannon as coordinator for three national teams -- national teams, U-20 and U-17 and awarded Babu as U-20 manager.
The BFF senior vice-president Monir Ahmed was named as team leader of the national team.
But, Monir Ahmed Thursday refused to take the responsibility showing his family and business grounds.
The BFF appointed Ashrafuddin Ahmed Chunnu as the team-leader of the national team who is also the manager of the national team, which is leaving the country Tuesday to Myanmar to take part in the Four-Nations International Football Tournament begins from October 27.
The Other three countries of the tournament are India, China and the host Myanmar.
