Indonesian military shake hands with Acehnese women
10/25/2005

KRUENG GEUKEUH (Indonesia): Indonesian military shake hands with Acehnese women during a ceremony as 2,500 troops prepare to pull out of Aceh here Monday. Indonesia Monday withdrew another 2,500 troops from Aceh as part of a peace pact aimed at ending a separatist conflict in the tsunami-hit province, an officer said and the troop pull-out also concluded the second of four planned phases of withdrawals called for by a historic peace pact signed on August 15 in Helsinki between the Free Aceh Movement (GAM) and the Indonesian government. — AFP Photo
