Kewell deserves fresh Anfield start: Benitez
10/8/2005

LIVERPOOL, England, Oct 7 (AFP): Australian international Harry Kewell deserves a fresh start to his misfiring Anfield career, says Liverpool boss Rafael Benitez.
Kewell, set to play for Australia in a friendly against Jamaica in London Sunday, could even feature in the Liverpool first team squad in two weeks' time.
The Australian hasn't featured since breaking down during the Champions League final win in Istanbul in May - that was the climax to an 18-month battle with a groin injury which resulted in surgery over the summer.
"Harry is a fantastic player and we need him," Benitez told the Liverpool Echo.
