MD of Citigroup Global Markets Asia due in city today

          Jeremy Amias, Managing Director of Citigroup Global Markets Asia Ltd. and Head of Fixed Income for the Asia Pacific Region, arrives in the city today (Monday) on a one-day visit.
During his visit, he is scheduled to meet senior government officials and major clients of the bank. He would also remain present at the Global Micro Entrepreneurship Award (GMA) prize giving ceremony, to be held in the city today.
Finance Minister M Saifur Rahman will hand over awards at the function as the chief guest.
Organised by Citigroup Foundation and the United Nations Capital Development Fund (UNCDF), the awards will be given in four categories — Best Micro Finance Institution (MFI) of the Year, Most Innovative Business of the Year, Best Woman Microentrepreneur of the Year and Best Microentrepreneur of the Year.
However, Jeremy runs all the Global Fixed Income functions of Citigroup in Hong Kong, Korea, Singapore, Australia and New Zealand, and oversees the Corporate Sales and Local Debt Capital Markets within the Emerging Markets Sales and Trading Business. He obtained his MA from Cambridge University.
