Int'l Trade Fair begins today

          A government sponsored month long trade fair is to be kicked off today putting on display the products of 421 local and foreign exhibitors at the Bangladesh-China Friendship Centre in the city. Prime Minister Khaleda Zia is expected to open the fair while Finance Minister M Saifur Rahman, Commerce Minister Altaf Hossain Chowdhury and Commerce Ministry Advisor Barkatullah Bulu will be present at the inaugural function along with business leaders, foreign diplomats and officials. President Iajuddin Ahmed in a statement welcomed the high profile fair jointly organised by the Commerce Ministry and the Export Promotion Bureau. — BSS
