Int'l short film festival kicks off in city
FE Report
12/23/2005

The 9th International Short and Independent Film Festival Dhaka-2005 started in the city.
Inaugurated by former chief justice and head of caretaker government Mohammad Habibur Rahman Thursday the inaugural session was also addressed, among others, by Hasnat Abdul Hye, chairman of the festival committee and its director Aminul Islam.
"Short films are the true pictures of real life reflecting harsh reality. Though we have been acquainted with international films 50 years ago, our films still are not in a position to tally with Hollywood and Mumbai," said Habibur Rahman.
