Cabinet body approves procurement of 11,500 tonnes of paper

          The cabinet committee on government purchase Thursday approved procurement of 11,500 tonnes of paper for primary education development programme, reports BSS.
The approval was given at a meeting of the committee held in the cabinet room of the secretariat in the city with Finance and Planning Minister M Saifur Rahman in the chair.
LGRD and Cooperatives Minister Abdul Mannan Bhuiyan, Industries Minister Motiur Rahman Nizami, Information Minister M Shamsul Islam, Agriculture Minister MK Anwar and Post and Telecommunication Minister Barrister Aminul Haq also attended the meeting.
Cabinet secretary and secretaries and senior officials of the concerned ministries were also present.
The meeting also approved the procurement of electrical equipment for Rural Electrification Board, the development programme of Zia International Airport and the amendment to the agreement with the foreign consultant of Barapukuria 2x125 coal power plant under Bangladesh Power Development Board.
