LPG prices rise abnormally

          RAJSHAHI, Jan 31: Once again prices of Liquid Petroleum Gas(LPG) has registered an abnormal rise causing untold suffering of the people of fixed income group in the city.
In only two days, prices of Kleenheat and Bosundhara brand gas has been increased by more than Tk 100 per cylinder.
Only two days ago, the consumers used to purchase a gas cylinder at a cost of Tk 700. The same gas cylinder are now being sold in the market at Tk 820 for Bosundhara brand and Tk 815 for Kleenheat.
But the price of Jamuna gas remained unchanged while the supply of the gas remained suspended for about two months.
The sudden sharp rise of LPG in the markets has created unstable situation about fuel consumption and has affected the consumers.
Only in a span of three months, prices of LP gas has increased by Tk 250.
The higher price of LPG pushed up the prices of other alternative fuel items like fire wood.
