WAKHOK and UIU sign MOU

          The United International University (UIU), Dhaka, Bangladesh and the WAKHOK, Wakkanai, Hokkaido, Japan signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) relating to the exchange of programmes between the two universities and introduction of Japanese Language Course in the UIU at a simple ceremony held in the city Monday.
The ceremony was attended, among others, by Ambassador of Japan in Bangladesh Matsushiro Horiguchi, President of Wakkanai Hokusei Gakuen University Fujilo Maruyama, President of TOP Language Co Ltd. Teruko Furuichi, Chairman of University Grants Commission M Asaduzzaman, Chairman of the Board of Governors United International University Hasan Mahmood Raja and Vice-Chancellor of UIU M Rewan Khan.
Speaking on the occasion, Horiguchi said the agreement would trigger an exchange of culture and build a mutual understanding between the two countries.
Asaduzzaman praised the facilities and good intention of the UIU authority in ensuring quality education.
Hasan Mahmood Raja said the MOU would open an avenue of opportunities for the students who want to study information technology (IT) and build a career in home and abroad.
