The government has finalised an environment-friendly Integrated Multi Modal Transport Policy (IMMTP) aiming at coordinated development of the country's overall communications system. The IMMTP will be placed "soon" before the cabinet for approval and implementation, said Communications Minister Nazmul Huda at a meeting held at the ministry Thursday to give the policy a final shape. He said, "The government has formulated the policy for building an integrated modern transport network through easing road, rail, air and river communication systems." — UNB
