Prof Hiroo Hoshino of Gunma University Graduate School of Medicine, Japan called on Dhaka University Vice-chancellor SMA Faiz Sunday at the latter's office.
Prof Donald James Gomes and Sabita Rezwana Rahman of the Department of Microbiology of Dhaka University were present on the occasion.
During the meeting they discussed matters of mutual interest especially the progress of ongoing collaborative academic and research programmes between Dhaka University and Gunma University Graduate School of Medicine, Japan.
