Gainers dominate losers

          The price indices on the Chit-tagong Stock Exchange (CSE) Saturday, as the losers dominated over the gainers.
The trade turnover, in terms of volume, increased but in terms of value, it declined on the day.
The CSE All Share Price Index moved down by 0.36 per cent to close at 3366.62 points from 3378.94 points of Thursday, the previous trading day.
The CSE-30 Index slipped by 0.40 per cent to close at 3205.72 points from 3218.55 points.
A total of 1.25 million shares and debentures worth Tk 63.06 million changed hands on the day against the previous day's 1.22 million shares and debentures valued at Tk 65.54 million of the previous day.
The total market capitalisation stood at Tk 203.44 billion from Tk 204.29 billion.
The total number of contracts decreased to 2,923 from 3,069 of previous trading day.
A total of 61 issues were traded on the day. Of them, 18 gained, 37 declined and six remained unchanged.
Al-Amin Chemical was the top gaining issue on the day. Its price rose by 62.50 per cent to close at Tk 2.60 from Tk 1.60. Its 1,000 shares valued at Tk 2,600.00 were traded on the day.
Monno Ceramic was the top losing issue on the day. Its price fell by 9.38 per cent to end at Tk 290.00 from Tk 320.00. Some ten of its shares worth Tk 2,900.00 changed hands on the day.
Beximco Pharma was the top trade turnover leader, in terms of value, on the day. Its 183,641 shares valued at Tk 17.50 million were traded. The price of the issue went down by 1.66 per cent to close at Tk 94.50 from Tk 96.10.
Rupali Bank was a significant performer on the day. Its 9,860 shares valued at Tk 5.87 million changed hands. The price of the issue gained by 0.89 per cent to close at Tk 592.00 from Tk 586.75.
