Country may experience nor'westers in February
2/7/2006

With day and night temperatures increasing slowly, the country's central and northern regions are going to experience moderate nor'westers and thunderstorms from the second half of the current month, reports BSS.
A long-range weather forecast by the met office for February said Monday the country is going to experience normal rainfall.
The northern regions along with the river basins are going to experience light to moderate fog in the mornings, the forecast noted.
The forecast was issued by the meteorological department after a meeting of the experts committee for the long-range forecast held at the met office in the city.
It prepared the forecast after reviewing the weather condition of January, the weather data, map, climate regression, analog model and satellite images.
The committee noted that rainfall in January was virtually absent in the country except some traces of rain in Sylhet.
