Bangladesh trade fair in Guwahati receives export orders worth $0.315m

          A total of 27 export organisations under the supervision of Bangladesh Export Promotion Bureau (EPB) participated in the Gowahati Trade Fair-2006 in India which was held from February 20 and March 6 this year.
The participating organisations received orders of export worth US$315,000 from the trade fair.
In Bangladesh pavilion, melamine, tableware, cosmetics, toiletries, furniture, jute goods, food items, cold drinks, silk, drycele battery, saree, handicrafts and pharmaceutical items were exhibited, said a press release.
Meanwhile, single country trade fair on Bangladesh products was inaugurated Wednesday at the Bhutanese capital Thimpu. The fair ends today (Saturday).
Bhutanese Commerce Minister Leon Po Eoshi inaugurated the trade fair and Sirajul Islam, additional commerce secretary, and Bangladesh Ambassader to Bhutan Enamul Kabir also spoke at the inaugural ceremony.
Participating in this fair 26 organisations exhibited medicine, melamine products, food items, cosmetics and toiletries, bathroom fitting, furniture, flat glass, handicrafts, imitation jewellery, electric items, tissue paper and saree, said a press release.
