Normalcy returns along Sapahar border
3/12/2006

NAOGAON, Mar 11 (BSS): A tense situation caused by the mobilisation of troops by the Indian Border Security Force (BSF) on the other side of Sapahar border of the district Thursday night, has eased after their withdrawal last night.
The BSF authorities pulled out their reinforcements from the newly dug bunkers on the Indian side of the border following a strong protest lodged by the Bangladesh Rifles (BDR).
"The situation is now quite normal and there is no more tension along the border," official sources told the news agency here today.
