Thailand works to expand tourism with neighbours
3/19/2006

BANGKOK, Mar 18 (VNA): A delegation of businesspeople and Thai government representatives will visit Cambodia and Vietnam next month to seek business opportunities in tourism and transport.
According to Thailand's Trat province Chamber of Commerce, the tours are part of the government's plan to create a trade, investment and tourism corridor linking Lem Ngop district in the easternmost province of Trat to the Sihanoukville port and Phnom Penh of Cambodia and Ho Chi Minh City and Phu Quoc island of Vietnam.
The corridor would contribute to helping Thailand promote sea tourism and link with its neighbouring countries, thus increasing trade activities from Trat province, the Chairman of the Trat province Chamber of Commerce said.
