WC hooligans face swift legal action
3/9/2006

BERLIN, March 8 (AFP): German courts want to speed up the legal process to mete out swift punishments to suspected hooligans at this summer's World Cup, German Justice Minister Brigitte Zypries declared Wednesday.
"If there is clear evidence, the perpetrators should face trial within 24 hours," Zypries said in Die Welt newspaper.
"We have undertaken judicial measures to ensure the necessary punishments are handed out."
