BCCB-Pak Academy match drawn

          The first four-day match between touring Bangladesh Cricket Control Board (BCCB) National Cricket Academy team and Pakistan National Cricket Academy team ended in a draw on day four at the Quaid-e-Azam Park Stadium in Karachi Sunday, reports UNB.
Having an overall six-run lead, the BCCB Academy team earlier resumed their 2nd innings with overnight score of 49 for no loss in 16 overs and made 205 in 93 overs losing one wicket when the bails were drawn for the 4th day.
Overnight batsman Nazmus Sadat, who was batting with 32, added another 29 to score 61 runs off 138 balls with two fours before he was bowled by Fawwad Alam.
Another overnight Mehrab Hossain Jr. remained unbeaten at the crease with 56 runs that featured two fours.
Number three Zahir-ul-Islam, who scored innings highest 104 runs in the 1st innings, also remained unbeaten in the 2nd innings making 62 runs off 160 balls, including seven fours.
Fawwad Alam took the lone wicket for Pakistan National Cricket Academy team giving away 25 runs in 18.4 overs.
Earlier, the BCCB Academy team scored 340 runs in their first innings while Pakistan Cricket Academy team pilled up 383 in their first innings.
The BCCB Academy team will meet their opponent in the second four-dayer on Aug 23 in Multan.
On completion of the four-day affairs, the first one-day match will be held on Aug 27 at the Sheikhupura Cricket Stadium while the 2nd one-day match at the Jhainna Stadium in Sialkot on Aug 31.
The visiting BCCB Academy team will play their 3rd one-dayer at the Bagh-e-Jinnah Stadium in Lahore on September 2.
