Top 10-bound Hingis books finals berth
8/21/2006

MONTREAL, Aug 20 (AFP): Former world No. 1 Martina Hingis, who will return to the top 10 when the WTA rankings are released Monday, reached the final of the 1.34 million-dollar WTA US Open tuneup here Saturday.
Hingis's run to the semi-finals, along with the second-round ouster of 11th- ranked Russian Anastasia Myskina and the withdrawal of No. 10 American Lindsay Davenport, insured Hingis would rise from the No. 12 spot where she started the week.
