The government borrowed a total of Tk 5.213 billion (521.30 crore) Sunday through the auctions of treasury bills. On the other hand, Tk 6.601 billion will be injected into the market due to maturity of some treasury bills. It will result in net inflow of cash amounting to Tk 1.388 billion into the market.
The auction of the 28-day, 91-day, 182-day, 364-day and two-year treasury bills was held on the day.
Bidders offered Tk 5.212 billion, Tk 0.20 million and 0.1 million against 28-day, 182-day and two-year bills respectively.
The central bank, however accepted the bids amounting to Tk 5.212 billion and Tk 0.1 million against 28-day and 182-day bills respectively.
The ranges of the implicit yields respectively were 7.00 per cent and 7.40 per cent per annum.
