Ganguly may be dropped from Lankan series
10/13/2005

India are expected to announce Thursday that their most successful captain Sourav Ganguly has been dropped for the series against Sri Lanka, reports BBC.
Indian newspaper reports say Rahul Dravid will skipper the team in seven one-day internationals.
And the Hindustan Times claims Dravid will be given until the 2007 World Cup.
Ganguly has been struggling with an elbow injury but has also been involved in a public row with coach, Australian Greg Chappell.
Ganguly was captain for the Zimbabwe series but it was marred after he later accused Chappell of asking him to step down before the first Test in Bulawayo because of his poor batting form.
Chappell sent a confidential email to the India cricket board in which he said Ganguly was physically and mentally unfit to lead India.
