Manik MSC soccer coach

          Shafiqul Islam Manik took over the charge of the Mohammedan Sporting Club as coach Wednesday for 15 months next, reports BDNEWS.
The appointment will be effective from Wednesday and will be expired on December 31, 2006.
The announcement was disclosed at a press conference at the premises of Mohammedan Sporing Club (MSC) in Motijheel Wednesday.
Imtiaz Sultan Jony was appointed team manager, Dipak Bhoumik was made vice-chairman of football committee and Amirul Islam Babu football committee secretary.
MSC general secretary Lokman Hossain, extra general secretary Mostaqur Rahman, coach Manik and former booters were present on the occasion.
Mohammedan Sporting Club General secretary Lokman Hossain said, "We discussed a lot in the executive and general meetings and most of the members of the club and former players welcomed Manik terming him country's best coach."
