Dacoits kill businessman in Tangail
10/29/2005

TANGAIL, Oct 28 (UNB): Dacoits killed a businessman near Bilkharinda culvert in the town bypass road Wednesday when he along with his friend was going to his father-in-law's house with Eid gifts.
Local people said Masum Mia (22) -- a businessman of Dawlia village of Gazipur district -- was coming to his father-in-law's house here along with his friend Tutul by a motor cycle.
When they reached a place near the culvert a gang of muggers halted them and hit Masum on his head with a tree branch leaving him dead on the spot.
They looted their cash, mobile phone and other valuables and fled the scene. A case was filed with the police.
Another report from Moulvibazar adds: A businessman was electrocuted at his own restaurant at the Sylhet-Moulvibazar road in the town Wednesday.
