Bashar dies

          Abul Bashar, a senior reporter of The Independent, died of liver cirrhosis at the BIRDEM Hospital in the city early Friday. He was 46, reports UNB.
Bashar worked earlier in the BSS, the only government news agency of the country.
He left behind his two wives, one son and four daughters.
His body was brought to the National Press Club at about noon where his former colleagues and journalist union leaders paid their last homage.
After Namaj-e-Janaza on the club premises, the body was taken to his village home in Shenbagh thana under Noakhali district for burial at the family graveyard.
