Bombings in Delhi
PM expresses shock, Hasina condemns
11/1/2005

Prime Minister Khaleda Zia said she was deeply shocked at the bombings in New Delhi that left many innocent people dead or injured, reports UNB.
In a condolence message to her Indian Counterpart Dr Manmohan Singh Sunday, Prime Minister Khaleda said that the government of Bangladesh and its people "condemned this act in the strongest possible terms" and expressed the hope that those responsible for this heinous crime would be brought to justice.
The Prime Minister prayed for the departed souls and also conveyed her sympathy to the bereaved families of the victims of Saturday's blasts.
She also prayed for early recovery of those who were injured in the market bombings.
BDNEWS adds: Leader of the opposition and AL president Sheikh Hasina condemned the deadly bomb attack in Delhi terming it an act against humanity, barbarous and cowardly.
Sheikh Hasina in a statement Sunday said those who had launched such attacks are enemies of humanity, democracy, peace and development.
In her statement she said innocent and unarmed people including women and children became the victims of the attacks on the eve of Eid-ul-Fitr and Diwali festivals.
Sheikh Hasina expressed her deep sympathy for the bereaved families and prayed for early recovery of the injured.
Besides, she expressed her deep sympathy for the Indian government and its people as well on behalf of the AL and people of Bangladesh.
