Kuwait envoy presents credentials to President

          The newly appointed Ambassador of Kuwait to Bangladesh, Abdullatif Ali Ibrahim Ai-Mawwash, presented his credentials to President Iajuddin Ahmed at Bangabhaban in the city Tuesday, reports BSS.
Welcoming the ambassador, President Iajuddin recalled the cordial bilateral relations existing between Bangladesh and Kuwait.
The President said Bangladesh has potential in the field of tourism and Kuwait can develop this field. He underscored the need for exchange of visits by trade and education officials between the two countries.
He wished the ambassador all success in his new assignment. He conveyed his regards and compliments to Ameer of Kuwait Sheikh Jabir Al-Ahmad Al Jabir Al Sabah through the envoy and invited him to visit Bangladesh at a convenient time.
He recalled the contribution of Kuwait for Bangladesh's entry into the OIC, which provided an opportunity to enhance Bangladesh's relations with the Muslim Ummah.
He expressed happiness over the close bilateral relations existing between the two brotherly Muslim countries based on common culture, traditions and religious faith.
He appraised the envoy that Bangladesh always appreciates the financial assistance extended by the state of Kuwait in its infrastructure development particularly the financial assistance of Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development.
